For over a decade, Thomson Reuters has been TEI’s exclusive affinity partner, a program that has yielded discounts on a range of tax research products and services for members and royalties for the Institute (which has allowed TEI to keep dues and registration fees low).
As part of this affinity partner relationship, we created the Checkpoint & ONESOURCE Advisory Board meetings which provide the opportunity for TEI members to offer comments on current developments affecting tax departments and potential products/enhancements. Listed below are the missions of the two boards, plus a few details about the upcoming meetings of the advisory boards at the Midyear Conference. Please let us know by Wednesday, October 18th if you are interested in participating.
TEI-Checkpoint Advisory Board allows corporate tax professionals at Thomson Reuters to review current developments as well as potential new products and enhancements to better serve the needs of corporate tax departments.
**For this year’s advisory board, the focus of our discussion will be on tools and resources that embed knowledge into workflow to meet the challenges and opportunities involved in planning and advisory work in today’s environment.
TEI-ONESOURCE Advisory Board allows corporate tax professionals at Thomson Reuters to work directly with corporate tax executives. Participants at this year’s advisory board will receive an exclusive preview of what is in store for our 2018 Indirect Tax platform release, including the new user interface and cloud functionality.
- WHEN: The Advisory Boards will meet on Wednesday morning, October 25th, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Sheraton Centre, Toronto. A full breakfast will be served.
- WHO & HOW MANY: Under the guidelines adopted by TEI and Thomson Reuters the size of each Advisory Board is limited to between 20 and 25 members, and TEI has a responsibility to ensure the diversity of the group in terms of geographic areas, industries, and subject matter and functional interests). There is NO requirement that members be customers of Thomson Reuters, though there is an expectation that at least 50 percent of all members be customers (to permit feedback on how well Thomson Reuters is meeting corporate tax department needs). Thomson Reuters reserves the right to exclude particular members (e.g., someone who works for a competitor), but no individual will be unreasonably denied membership on the Advisory Board.
- RSVP: Responses are requested by Wednesday, October 18. In your message, please identify your company, industry, and contact information; whether you are a current or former user of Checkpoint or ONESOURCE products or services; and any special interests you may have in respect of the Advisory Board’s work.
QUESTIONS: Please call me on 202.464.8354, or email.
Thank you for your consideration.
